Oppo has taken the lead in the race for the slimmest foldable phone with the Find N5, its most refined foldable yet. The Find N5 — a successor of Find N3 — is improved across the board, beginning with its ultra-thin design. When unfolded, it’s only 4.21mm thick — slightly thicker than a USB-C port — and closes to 8.93mm, making it the thinnest book-style foldable to date. For reference, the ex-champ Honor Magic V3 is 4.35mm (unfolded) / 9.3mm (folded), and the Galaxy Z Fold6 is 5.6mm / 12.1mm.

Oppo Find N5 Debuts as the Slimmest Foldable Yet with Snapdragon 8 Elite
This accomplishment is possible thanks to the Titanium Flexion Hinge, which is 26% smaller than the previous generation but offers greater rigidity. A 3D-printed titanium wing panel, along with carbon fiber materials, also helps give the device its lightweight 229-gram build. The Find N5 is also the first crease in the world to receive IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance, which means it is rated to withstand pressurized jets of hot water and immersion. It features a strong 7000-series aluminum frame.
Moving on to the display crease problem, Oppo has placed a main display of 8.12-inch LTPO OLED with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz, FHD+ resolution, 9.9:9 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 2,100 nits on each of its Find N5 units. It has a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED outer screen with a 20.7:9 aspect ratio, FHD+ resolution, 1-120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,450 nits of brightness. Both displays support the Oppo Pen stylus, available separately.
Co-designed with Hasselblad, the camera system consists of a 50MP main sensor (LYT-700) with OIS and 21mm equivalent focal range, alongside a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (Samsung JN5) with 3 x optical zoom, and finally contrasting the last task is an 8MP ultrawide lens with autofocus. Beneath the surface, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite powers the Find N5, but it’s a binned version with one fewer performance core.
The international variant is available with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, with Oppo promising 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches. A 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery fuels the device, supporting 80W SuperVOOC wired and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. The Oppo Find N5 will be available starting February 28 in Cosmic Black, Misty White, and Dusk Purple (China-exclusive). Priced at SGD2,499 (approx. €1,799 or £1,499), pre-orders begin tomorrow.
