OPPO A5 5G Leak Reveals Specs, Launch Soon in India at ₹15,499

In April, OPPO launched the A5 Pro 5G in India, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and a robust 5,800mAh battery. Now, as per a new report from SmartPrix, the company is gearing up to add another phone to the series called the OPPO A5 5G. A live image of the device has also emerged online, revealing the front design of the phone along with a bunch of other specifications by way of the “About device” screen.

The OPPO A5 5G is expected to feature a 6.6-inch (16.94 cm) punch-hole display. It is mentioned in the listing that the phone will be powered by ColorOS 15.0 based on Android 15. It is also powered by OPPO’s Trinity Engine, promising better performance. Powering the hardware underneath the hood is the Dimensity 6300 chipset, accompanied by a large 6,000mAh battery to keep the lights on longer.

As per the leak, the A5 5G will come with 6GB of physical RAM and 4GB of virtual RAM, alongside 128GB of internal storage. While the camera details and charging speeds haven’t been officially revealed yet, expectations point to it being similar to the global version of the device already available in other regions.

If that’s the case, the OPPO A5 5G is likely to feature an HD+ resolution LCD panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The front camera could be 8MP, while the rear is expected to house a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Other anticipated features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 45W fast charging, and an IP68/IP69-rated water and dust-resistant body.

The device is expected to be available in two configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage. The base variant will reportedly be priced at ₹15,499, making it an affordable 5G option for Indian consumers.
