OnePlus is apparently planning a China launch event on June 27, during which it will debut the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. Further, the company has also revealed that it is going to launch OnePlus Watch 2 and OnePlus Pad Pro at this event. Images shared via its China website also confirmed that the Watch 2 will launch in green and black. But the design is different from model number W301 which was launched globally as the OnePlus Watch 2 and reached India in September this year. Here, you can see that the new watch has a familiar circular display with two buttons to its right of the previous model’s signature cues-and these buttons do not protrude from the case anymore.
This new design hasn’t been seen in any previous OnePlus smartwatches. Since OnePlus never released the original Watch 2 in China, it seems likely this is a new product that could debut globally as the OnePlus Watch 3.
The OnePlus Watch 3 was recently spotted on several certification sites, including TENAA, BIS, and TUV. The listing supported an image with a similar design as teased on OnePlus China, which looks like a circular dial, hour markers, a textured strap, and two push buttons.
The BIS listing, which carries the model number OPWWE234, confirms that the watch will launch in India as well. Since designs are pretty much similar on TENAA as well as oneplus.com, the global version of the OnePlus Watch 2 in China would likely unfold in India and other markets – probably called the OnePlus Watch 3.
The TENAA listing also reveals that the watch will support LTE connectivity for e-SIMs, compatible with China Unicom, China Telecom, and China Mobile, and will include Bluetooth, GPS, BeiDou, NFC, GLONASS, and WLAN support. The device will feature a 500mAh battery and support 10W charging speeds, as indicated by a previous 3C certification. Alongside the watch, OnePlus will also introduce the Pad Pro tablet at the Ace 3 Pro launch event.
