Earlier in May, a tipster reported that OnePlus is working on its first-ever tablet. It is likely to be called the OnePlus Pad and we have come across multiple rumors upon its arrival. A new leak, however, indicates that the tablet has been delayed.
OnePlus began internal testing on its tablet in May:
A report that surfaced towards the end of December claimed that the tablet from the Oppo-owned company would be launched in the first half of this year. In March, it was reported that the OnePlus tab had entered the mass production phase in several European and Asian markets. Internal testing of the device began in May in India.
Another tipster Mukul Sharma has claimed the first tablet from OnePlus is delayed. It will now launch in early 2023, there is no reason given by the company for this move.
So far we know that the first tab from the brand will arrive with a 12.4″ OLED FHD+ display and will feature the Snapdragon 865 chip paired with 6GB RAM. In terms of battery life, it has a 10,090mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. In terms of optics, we see an 8MP selfie shooter on the front and a dual-camera setup on the rear.
The tab will run on Android 12L OS and the Chinese variant will be retailing for Yuan 2,999 or Rs.35,371. In addition to the tab, some other devices such as the OnePlus Watch 2 and the OnePlus Band2 had entered the R&D testing and serial production phase but there is no word on their launch dates as of yet.
