Pete Lau’s OnePlus is going on to opportunitize the Indian smartphone market as it looks to diversify itself and offer more smartphones at every price range possible. They already launched the Nord CE 2 last month and as we reviewed, it is a good mid-range smartphone for its price, now, OnePlus is planning to bring a “Lite” version of the same device.
Essentially this could be a cut-down version of the original OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and that suggests lower pricing probably under Rs.20k. This will be a key win for OnePlus because the mid-range smartphone market is booming in India and even more so because 5G launch is just around the corner.
So, this new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will retain a lot of features you see in the original Nord CE 2 5G like the big 5000mAh battery and 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. For a smartphone under Rs.20k, these small features seem to play a key role as even Samsung is not bundling chargers into their smartphones which have angered buyers.
OnePlus has recently revealed the design of this new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and it bears a lot of similarities with the original Nord CE 2. However, there is a new Blue Tider color used and a striped design at the back of the smartphone while the camera cutout design remains similar and the bezels are quite big considering to be the new budget smartphone from OnePlus.
The company will keep revealing key specs one by one as the April 28th launch heads closer and we will get to know more about it eventually. Know more from the Amazon India page: https://amzn.to/37UUKKK
