OnePlus’ iconic alert slider will be confined to Pro models while reaching some Oppo flagships

OnePlus iconic alert slider will be apprehended to Pro models while reaching some Oppo flagships. The typical alert slider, a feature on all of these smartphones, has been missing from upcoming models like the OnePlus 10T.

As per leaks by Yogesh Brar, only these flagship phones with an alert slider will be available after this point. Till now, the custom slider, introduced on Android devices, first came in neat when Oppo combined its operating system and started to offer iPhones-like software experience on their devices.

But now that the affordable OnePlus 10T is here and will take this trend, some might not like the change. The choice to drop the alert slider could commence from abiding acrimony between OxygenOS and ColorOS (which debuted on the newly developed Oppo Nord N series).

After all, gossip publicized that unification between these two would solve everything for users. This is just a rumor. There is no way of knowing whether or not this will betide we will just have to wait for an official announcement.

The alert slider has been a fundamental of OnePlus phones, and it was dolefully missed by some when the company extended to include entry-level phones which were just rebranded Oppos. The lack of the alert slider in the Nord N models was logical, therefore, as they were initially designed as Oppos.

It is planning to start a new trend where the company will include the alert slider only on the OnePlus Pro flagships. The report also suggests that premium OnePlus handsets that are not Pro variants and the upcoming Nord models will miss out on this principal feature.
However, some upcoming Oppo flagships might include the alert slider, as per reports. Oppo is planning to “acquire” the feature from its sister brand. However, reviewing the previous situation that was convoluted when the companies decided to combine OxygenOS with ColorOS, OnePlus fans may have a mixed reaction to this decision as well.
