OnePlus Buds Z2 have been launched in China today. The TWS earphones have debuted alongside the OnePlus 9RT smartphone. The latest offerings arrive as the successor to last year’s Buds Z. Just like the OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus Buds Z2 India launch date has not been announced yet.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 retains the same design as their predecessor but they also come with significant upgrades. The audio device comes with low latency, better battery life, transparency mode and more. So let’s have a look at all the details of the earbuds.
OnePlus Buds Z2 specifications
The OnePlus Buds Z2 retain the same design as the Buds Z with a long stem and a CD-like touch surface for controlling various tasks. The earbuds come with slightly angled silicone ear tips for a better and more comfortable fit. The earphones are IP55 certified sweat and water-resistant, though the charging case has an IPX4 certification.
On the audio front, the Buds Z2 are equipped with an 11mm driver and three microphones that offer better active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 40dB. The TWS earbuds come with a 94ms latency which is a big upgrade from 103ms on the first-generation Buds Z.
OnePlus claims that the earbuds are capable of delivering up to 38 hours of battery life on a single charge. There is a 40mAh battery available on the earbuds that is rated to deliver up to seven hours of playback time. The company has also provided a 520mAh battery on the charging case that helps enhance the overall battery life. The Buds Z2 also feature a transparency mode.
The earbuds also come with Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity that is claimed to deliver a latency rate of 94 milliseconds. The TWS earphones come with various other features including voice assistant, wearing detection, earplug fit, and more. The earbuds measure 33×22.44×21.81mm and weigh 4.5 grams each. The bundled charging case measures 73.15×36.80×29.07mm and weighs 40.5 grams.
OnePlus Buds Z2 pricing
The OnePlus Buds Z2 price, is set at CNY 499 (roughly Rs. 5,800). The earbuds will be available for purchase in China from October 19. Customers purchasing the Buds Z2 on its first sale day will also be entitled to receive a CNY 100 discount. In terms of colours, the earbuds will be available in Day White and Night Black colour variants.
