OnePlus Ace Pro launched with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 SoC

OnePlus initially set the launch date of the Ace Pro on the 3rd of August, however, the event was postponed and the smartphone debuted in China earlier today. The Ace Pro is nothing but a rebranded version of the OnePlus 10T for the Chinese market. Highlights of the smartphone are the fast wired charging support that it carries and the best chip from Qualcomm.

The OnePlus Ace Pro arrives with a 6.7″ hole-punch camera with a 10-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, 394 PPI, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a resolution of 20.1:9 with support for sRGB/DCI-P3 color gamuts, HDR10+ support, and a touch sampling rate of 720Hz.

The smartphone has a glass sandwich body with a plastic frame, there is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the display for protection. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chip paired with an LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage along with the VC liquid cooling system. It runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 OS.

On the rear, we see a triple camera setup with OIS support and a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter.

In terms of connectivity, we see a dual-SIM setup, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GNSS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner for security along with dual-stereo speakers. In terms of battery life, we see a 4,800mAh battery with 150W wired charging support.

In terms of pricing, the Ace Pro retails for $518 or Rs.41,224 for the 12GB RAM+256GB version, $563 or Rs.44,805 for the 16GB RAM+256GB version, and $637 or Rs.50,694 for the 16GB RAM+512GB version. It is available in Black and Green colors and will go on sale from the 15th of August at 10 AM CST via OnePlus.com.
