OnePlus has officially introduced two new models in its performance-driven Ace series in China: the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition. Thermal management is a key highlight. The Ace 5 Ultra is equipped with the new generation of the Glacier Cooling System, a 7300 mm² vapour chamber, and an extra 4000 mm² rear cooling area. Adding to the heat dissipation, the Racing Edition goes even further, it features a total cooling area of 29,772 mm², with a Super VC being upwards of 7000 mm² to ensure the system runs efficiently during prolonged periods of operation.
Then there’s battery life, another forte. The Ace 5 Ultra is powered by a 6700mAh battery and also supports 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. The Racing Edition houses a larger 7100mAh battery with 80W flash charging, ensuring extended usage with quick top-ups. Camera setups on both phones include a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and support for 4K video at 60fps. The Ultra version features a Sony IMX906 sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the Racing Edition is complemented by a 2MP monochrome sensor.
Software-wise, both devices run on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15. They include a customizable shortcut key that allows users to perform quick tasks such as screen recording, translation, or muting. Connectivity and additional features are shared across both models, including 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual SIM functionality, in-display optical fingerprint scanners, infrared sensors, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio.
