OnePlus Ace 2 Pro: Unveiling the Teased Specifications

The latest OnePlus smartphone has been officially announced to feature a 6.74-inch screen with a resolution of 1.5K, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and TUV Rheinland certification. The display will incorporate BOE’s Q9+ panel, aiming to enhance color and visual quality. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will also be supported by a 5,000mAh battery and will offer 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. Its performance will rely on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, combined with 24GB of RAM.

The Chinese technology company has released several teasers on Weibo, revealing crucial details about the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. This smartphone is set to showcase a 6.74-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (1,240×2,772 pixels), provided by BOE. The Q9+ panel boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a pixel density of 450ppi.

The screen has earned TUV Rheinland certification for reduced blue light emissions and is capable of reaching a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits, with 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Additionally, it has received TUV SUD Precise Touching S-level certification.

OnePlus is also promoting ultra-thin bezels of just 2.17mm on the upcoming device. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 150W SuperVOOC charging. This rapid charging technology claims to recharge the battery from 1 percent to 100 percent in a mere 17 minutes. The battery is expected to remain robust for up to 4 years or 1,600 charging cycles.

Furthermore, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro introduces a novel “Rain Touch” technology, designed to enhance the touch experience when operating the device with wet fingers. A video posted on the micro-blogging platform demonstrates how the touch responses of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro differ when exposed to rain.

Earlier this week, OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is scheduled to be launched in China on August 16. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage. The phone is also anticipated to showcase a triple camera system on the back, headlined by a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX890 sensor.
