The OnePlus 8 Z is in talks for a long time even before the official launch of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro event. It was assumed to launch with those two smartphones in the same event as a part of the OnePlus 8 series. But we know what happened the OnePlus 8 Z got left behind, but it is now said that the phone is in development as we haven’t come across any major leaks till now. Now some trustable sources claim that the device will launch in July 2020.
Thanks to Max J., OnLeaks and 91mobiles we got to some images of the OnePlus 8 Z. OnLeaks with 91mobiles partnered to reveal some images of the upcoming Lite version of the OnePLus 8 series. Let’s see what we know about the device until now. The launch is said to be delayed due to the lockdown scenario amid COVID-19.
From the image, we saw that the OnePlus 8 Z will have a punch-hole cutout at the top middle of the display unlike the top left position in the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. The images shared by OnLeaks and 91mobiles confirm the notch position and there will be a quad-came setup at the back housed in rectangular class design.
The brand has moved the position of the rear camera and is also expected to feature an AMOLED display just like the other two in the series.
Previous reports confirm that the phone will not come with any Snapdragon chipset but will feature a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset which will also support 5G connectivity. The phone will be a mid-range smartphone more with some premium touchup from the brand. This can be a more affordable smartphone from the company.
