# OnePlus 16 Launched in China: Price Starts at 5,999 Yuan With 9,000mAh Battery and 200MP Camera

The wait is over. OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 16 in China, and it arrives with some of the biggest numbers we have seen on a flagship this year: a 9,000mAh battery, a 200MP main camera and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip.

The phone starts at 5,999 yuan, which is roughly Rs 86,000 at current conversion, according to one report. There is no word yet on an India launch. ## Display: What Changed

The screen is a flat 6.78-inch LTPO panel, developed with BOE, which OnePlus calls its fourth-generation Oriental Screen. It runs at 165Hz across the system and can reach 185Hz in compatible games. One report lists the China version at 185Hz and a later global version at 165Hz, so the exact gaming figure may vary by region.

## Battery and Charging

A 9,000mAh battery is a big step up, and it comes with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone can also charge other devices at 27W over a wire. OnePlus pairs the cell with its own power management chip, but battery life claims need independent tests.

The phone also includes dedicated imaging, network and touch chips, which OnePlus calls P4, G3 and T3.

The phone is rated IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, so it is built for dust, water and hot-jet protection. It has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, symmetrical speakers and a dedicated AI button. It weighs about 220g, which is heavy but expected with such a large battery.

Reports disagree on when sales begin. One says October 13 through the OPPO online store, while another says open sales start on October 31. OnePlus has not announced an India launch, price or date.
