So, it’s confirmed that OnePlus will be partnering up with MediaTek for its affordable flagship lineup as well. Previously, giving us the teaser of this upcoming OnePlus 10R 5G, this looks more like a OnePlus Ace which has been leaked with Dimesity 8100.
Indeed the rebranded OnePlus 10R 5G here will be using MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 but there’s a catch here as the chipset is called here the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX. This suggests that OnePlus has made a custom variant for itself to power its new smartphone by MediaTek and we expect it to come with higher clock speeds than the regular Dimesity 8100.
As we see in the teaser image, this new smartphone borrows the same camera design you have seen on its Nord lineup in line with the Oppo smartphones. This smartphone will have a completely new design, however, gone are the days of the classic OnePlus style or look because of the merger with Oppo, new OnePlus devices borrow a lot of similarities with its brother company.
Among the key highlights here with the teaser, the use of the new 150W SuperVOOC charging has been bragged quite a lot by OnePlus because it will be the first OnePlus device to offer the same. The current flagship OnePlus 10 Pro comes with 80W SuperVOOC charging and now with 150W charging, one can expect to charge the smartphone within minutes.
