One more record for Messi: The Argentinian has now scored against 35 teams in the Champions League

Last night, Messi played an unimaginable football for which we die to watch him with the ball and the magic from the little magician has created yet another record for him. With that amazing goal against Napoli, Leo Messi now holds the record for scoring against 35 different teams in the Champions League.

This is not an easy job, but nothing is impossible for Leo, making a record against such high-rated European clubs require astronomical qualities and traits. Messi has scored against various teams from Germany, Spain, France, England, Italy, Portugal and even Belarus, Cyprus, Denmark and Ukraine.

The 33-year old has faced forty teams in the Champions League but hasn’t been able to score against five of them including Rubin Kazan, Atlético Madrid, Benfica, Udinese, and Inter Milan. Obviously, in the coming years, the Argentinian will not forgive, but until then he can celebrate his new achievement, which is he quite used to.

He is chased by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Raul González who scored against 33 different teams each, while both Karim Benzema and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have 29 teams on their list. Messi’s number one target over the years in the Champions League has been Arsenal, with nine goals in six games, followed by AC Milan and Celtic (8 each).
