After initial reports in January, Olivier Giroud has now signed the contract with LAFC to join them at the end of the season. The veteran’s contract with Milan runs out at the end of the season, and he has now decided to move on as a free agent to end his career in Europe.
The 37-year-old has scored 10 goals in 30 Serie A appearances this season, showing that he is still one of the top forwards in the world. However, he has decided to try a new experience in what could be the final chapter of his career, and has committed to a deal until December 2025.

Giroud is the all-time top scorer for the French national team, and has earned a reputation for scoring some of the most aesthetic goals in football. He has won the Serie A title with the Rossoneri, and won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League with Chelsea before making the move to Italy.
The striker is also a four time FA Cup winner, once with Chelsea and thrice with Arsenal. He was also a part of the France squad that won the FIFA World Cup 2018.
Milan will need to scout carefully to replace Olivier Giroud, considering their lack of effective options right now. And with little left to play for this season, they can start searching for new targets early.
