After the completion of two marquee signings namely Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that he intends to pull some more strings in this year’s summer transfer window.
Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stated in an interview “I’m hopeful that there might be a little more business done by us before the summer window closes, while I’m also mindful that a lot of our squad members underwent great development on loan last term.”
Moreover, it seems more clear that Manchester United will need a backup right-back and a regular starter in the midfield. Possible transfer targets are Declan Rice, Eduardo Camavinga and Kieran Trippier.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also suggested that players one or two player’s performances during their loan spells may have earned their places in the first team. The lead example is Jesse Lingard.
Jesse Lingard’s impressive performances upon his returns were something that was highly regarded by everyone in the world of football and may have been more than enough for him to have earned back his spot in the first team.
However, Manchester United will be looking to sell David De Gea and Nemanja Matic in this transfer window.
