Arsenal have completed the signing of Neto on a loan deal from Bournemouth for the 24-25 season. The goalkeeper makes the move to North London as the replacement for Aaron Ramsdale, after the Englishman left for Southampton on a permanent transfer.
David Raya has firmly established himself as the first-choice under Mikel Arteta, and looks set for the future. As a result, Neto has been brought in as what seems like a short-term solution to their goalkeeper position.

💬 “I always dreamed to play here. I had the opportunity to train here a few times in the training ground and I always kept that feeling in my mind, and now I’m realising it!”

Earlier, Arsenal were interested in signing Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia. However, the Spanish side insisted on only selling him for his release clause. The Gunners offered a bid in excess of €20 million, but was rejected, prompting them to go through with their backup option.
Bournemouth have secured a replacement for the 35-year-old in the form of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea. The Spaniard has signed on a loan deal from the West Londoners, and will likely play an important role with the Cherries this season.
