Mats Hummels has officially completed his transfer to Roma as a free agent. The defender has signed a contract till 2025 and will receive a salary of around ā¬2 million plus add-ons.
As officially revealed by the club, the player will be wearing the number 15 shirt and becomes the seventh German player in their history. He joins Mario Hermoso as yet another free agent signing in central defence over the past week.

The 35-year-old was one of the top players for Borussia Dortmund last season as they made their way to the finals of the Champions League but finished as runners-up against Real Madrid. Hummels received multiple man of the match trophies en route to the final, but eventually left the club by letting his deal run out.
After links to Real Sociedad and other clubs across Europe throughout the summer, the veteran has finally completed his move to Italy to try out a new experience.
Roma’s performance in the transfer market has been remarkable, recruiting the likes of Artem Dovbyk, Mario Hermoso, Alexis Saelemaekers and now, Hummels, while retaining Paulo Dybala in spite of interest from the Middle East.
