Things are shaking up in the Bundesliga. While Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of RB Leipzig superstar Dayot Upamecano, their arch rivals Borussia Dortmund have also confirmed the presence of a new face at the club from the start of the 21/22 season.

Borussia Monchengladbach head coach Marco Rose has been confirmed to be the man to take charge of the Black and Yellow Club next season. The news was confirmed by Rose’s current club in a statement released by them that read:

“We’ve held many talks on Marco’s future over the past few weeks,” Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl said.

“He has unfortunately decided to use the clause in his contract and would like to move to Borussia Dortmund in the summer.”

Dortmund will have to pay Gladbach a sum worth €5 million to get the Foals to release their head coach from his current deal with the club.

Marco Rose has been one of the best in the league since taking charge of Borussia Monchengladbach. His worth has been proven in guiding the club back to the Champions League in his first campaign in charge. He also managed to become the first manager to lead the team into the knockout stages of the Champions League this season, further solidifying his status as a top class coach.

Borussia Dortmund have had a terrible recent run of form, having won only one of their last five games and drawn another one, while losing all three points against Leverkusen, Monchengladbach and Freiburg.

Their stuttering displays under Edin Terzic have cast doubt on the team’s goals of securing Champions League football, with the Bundesliga title way too far in sight now that Dortmund are sixth, 15 points behind league leaders Bayern.
