The 31-year-old brings a wealth of experience, having won the ISL with ATK as well as Chennaiyin in the past. And with his ISL Cup win with Mumbai while on loan this past season, he became the first Indian to win the ISL title with three different teams.

“This is one of the proudest moments of my career, signing permanently for my hometown club, Mumbai City FC. As a Mumbaikar, it is a huge honour to represent the club in the biggest competitions. I want to thank Coach Petr Kratky and the club management for their trust and belief in me. I can’t wait to continue this chapter with the club and hopefully win more trophies in the upcoming season,” Jayesh Rane told the club’s official website.
The midfielder has interest from Chennaiyin FC and Jamshedpur FC this summer after his performances with the Islanders. However, the proposal from the Cup winners was enough to convince him to stay.
Retaining Rane could prove to be a massive step, given Apuia and Alberto Noguera are both departing.
How many games did Rane play for City in 23/24?
27 across all competitions
