The 7th edition of the Indian Super League will commence on 20th November, it was already declared. Now, ISL has released the first 11 rounds of fixtures of the upcoming season.
The 2020-21 ISL season will kickstart with defending champions ATK Mohun Bagan taking on Kerala Blasters FC on Friday, 20th November, at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim, Goa.
SC East Bengal will make their ISL debut in style, playing in one of the oldest rivalries in Asian football – the Kolkata Derby. SC East Bengal will face ATK Mohun Bagan in the biggest spectacle of Indian football on Friday, 27th November, at the Tilak Maidan Stadium. This derby will surely be one of the main attractions of this season’s ISL.
The entire ISL tournament will be played inside a bio-secure bubble in Goa. It will be held across three stadiums – Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Fatorda), GMC Stadium (Bambolim), and Tilak Maidan (Vasco).
As there will be 11 teams from this season, 115 group stage matches will be played with each team taking on each other for two times. The top four teams will then qualify for the semi-finals and finally play the final to lift the Hero ISL trophy.
The first 11 round of fixtures has been released and the schedule of the remaining 55 matches will be revealed in December.
