“Eddie Nketiah is extending his stay with us after agreeing a new long-term contract.

Eddie Nketiah gets famous shirt number 14 upon renewal
The youngster has been given Thierry Henry’s iconic number 14 shirt upon his renewal. It is symbolic to him as well, since he has been with the club since the age of 14. And now, he has his own story to tell with a long-term contract ready.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, said: “I’m delighted Eddie is staying with us. He represents what we are all about and all the values of the club. We are very happy that he has extended his contract and now we have to get to work and continue to develop the great talent and person that we have in him.”
The 22-year-old got his first chance to shine in the season starting from April. He took the opportunity very well, scoring five goals from eight appearances including a match-winning double against rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. He will be facing competition for the striker position if the Gunners can sign a new first team quality player, but will be a big player to watch for the coming years.
