Leicester City are close to completing the signing of Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard for a proposed fee worth £15 million. The Foxes will be fending off competition from the likes of Inter Milan, Arsenal, Brighton and Tottenham to sign the player this summer.

With so many big clubs in the race for the player following his exploits in the Scottish Premiership, Leicester are working hard to complete the deal as soon as possible.

The most important factor in convincing the player to come to the King Power Stadium is a reunion with Brendan Rodgers. The former Celtic boss was responsible for bringing the player to Scotland in 2018 for a club record fee of £8 million. And three years later now, a reunion seems to be on the cards.

The player has scored 74 goals in 139 appearances across all competitions for Celtic in three seasons. He netted 29 times as they won the ‘treble treble’ in 19/20 and despite falling short of the league title this year to Rangers, he scored 22 goals in the league.

His prolific goalscoring record has attracted interest from numerous big clubs, as stated earlier. The 23-year-old is now seen as the replacement to Jamie Vardy, whose abilities could be on their way down at 34.

The club are also in the works to sign Boubakary Soumare from Lille, and the deal is done according to numerous sources. With their numerous signings this summer, the club will be looking to finish in the top four next season after missing out on the final day this past term.
