Odisha FC are in talks with Spanish attacker Néstor Albiach for a transfer ahead of the 2023 season. He currently plays in the third division of Spain with Rayo Majadahonda. His contract with them runs out at the end of the current season, and he will be able to join as a free agent.
The agreement hasn’t been struck between the two parties yet. But talks are ongoing and there is optimism over a move as things stand.
Néstor Albiach on the radar of Odisha FC for free transfer
In the league, he has made 31 appearances and has scored nine goals, while providing four assists. Albiach is a versatile attacker, and could be a great addition for Odisha FC, who are looking to build on their Hero Super Cup win a few days ago.
They have a new head coach in Sergio Lobera, who has a history of getting the best out of his team and winning trophies. And with the addition of Néstor Albiach, things could really improve for the team which also consists of Diego Mauricio and Jerry.
Things didn’t go as well as expected for the Juggernauts in the league this past season. They finished seventh, but were able to turn things around in the Super Cup. And it remains to be seen how they recruit ahead of the season to try and improve their squad.
