  • Ukraine 1-2 Germany
  • Spain 1-0 Switzerland
  • Andorra 0-0 Malta
  • Lichtenstein 0-1 Gibraltar
  • Faroe Islands 1-1 Latvia
  • Montenegro 2-0 Azerbaijan
  • Luxembourg 2-0 Cyprus

Ukraine 1-2 Germany

Antonio Rudiger showed some real footwork and vision around the box, firing in a low cross finished by Ginter to open the scoring.

Ukranian keeper Bushchan denied the 2014 World Cup winners plenty of opportunities to score more, with multiple brilliant saves.

However, an absolute horror was to come in the second half when the ball slipped Bushchan’s hand, following a cross by Klostermann. Leon Goretzka headed the ball home to make it 2-0.

A straightforward penalty converted by Malinovskiy in the 76th minute pulled the hosts back into the competition, but they failed to get another before the final whistle blew, handing the Germans their first win in the Nations League.

Spain 1-0 Switzerland

Mikel Oyarzabal scored the only goal of the match to secure the victory for the Spaniards as they marched on to face Ukraine next.

There could have easily been more goals scored, but a lack of clinical finishing prevented the visitors from pulling one back, while also preventing the hosts from building on their lead.

The win sees Spain climb to the top of their group, two points clear of Germany who stand at 5.

The error from Yann Sommer to cost Switzerland the goal was horrendous, but much like Ukraine’s Bushchan, it is unlikely that keepers will be replaced since they managed to produce good saves throughout the match.

Today’s Nations League fixtures are highlighted by the heavyweight clashes between England vs Belgium and France vs Portugal.
