NVIDIA's RTX 20 GPUs enjoys big gains in Steam's latest hardware survey

The graphics giant is enjoying a good spell of market share in Steam’s latest March Hardware & Software Survey and its clear that their RTX 20 series GPUs are getting popular among gamers. With more and more games featuring Ray tracing feature, NVIDIA’s RTX GPUs are being widely adopted by gamers.

As we all know ray tracing makes games much more life-like and makes the experience enjoyable, so is clear that people now are considering ray tracing feature before buying a GPU. Surprisingly, the top 8 GPUs by usage in terms of percentage share change are all from NVIDIA and 5 of them are GeForce RTX 20 series cards.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 is the champion RTX card and has got a +0.53% change in March, the GPU itself now has 2.71% total share and sits in 5th position overall. We know the RTX 2060 is the entry-level RTX GPU and so these days the GeForce RTX 2070 and GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GPUs are also gaining a significant amount of market share.

Both the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER and GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER gets the top eight spot for the month which again makes it clear that even the new RTX Super GPUs are also gaining popularity among gamers. The final three spots out of the top eight GPUs are from Nvidia’s GTX 16 series which makes it evident that team green is satisfying more customer lately.

The only AMD GPU in the top list of GPUs is the RX 580 which acquires in the 10th place and AMD has dropped a significant of market share. The red team slipped from 15.7% to 13.38% as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 series cards are getting even more popular these days.
