There is a new rumor going around the internet that states NVIDIA’s next-gen GeForce RTX 30 SUPER ‘Ampere Refresh’ and GeForce RTX 40 ‘Ada Lovelace’ graphics cards will be coming in 2022.
This is not the first time we had such a rumor and a similar kind of rumor was making rounds that stated an early 2022 launch for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 SUPER Ampere Refresh and a late 2022 launch for the next-gen GeForce RTX 40 ‘Ada Lovelace’ graphics cards.
However, according to the latest information NVIDIA is preparing its GeForce RTX 30 SUPER graphics card for launch early next year while the Ada Lovelace GPUs will be featured on the GeForce RTX 40 series will be hitting store shelves in October 2022. And this makes the release of the upcoming NVIDIA cards even more exciting than what we anticipated.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 SUPER ‘Ampere Refresh’ Graphics Family
This is part of ‘Ampere Phase 2’ which has reported entered into production this quarter and the GPUs will be different than the Ampere SKUs we got this and last year and will be more focused on design optimizations along with retaining their hardware-level block on crypto mining algorithms.
The GA103 GPU will reportedly be introduced in the lineup and will be headed to both desktops and laptops. Since the family is positioned for an early 2022 launch we can expect NVIDIA to announce it at CES 2022 even.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Next-Gen ‘Ada Lovelace’ Graphics Family
NVIDIA will most probably be launching its GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card lineup based on the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture in October 2022. we still have a year from now for its launch and if you remember NVIDIA launched its GeForce RTX 30 series family almost a year after the GeForce RTX 20 SUPER graphics card refresh.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series ‘Ada Lovelace’ GPUs are rumored to hit mass production in mid of 2022 so that gives at least 3-4 months to build up enough stock for a proper retail launch.
