At CES 2022, NVIDIA announced its new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU and well a lot of laptops have been previewed by well-known makers. Well, we have the very first benchmark of this laptop GPU on OpenCL and it looks promising indeed.
Thanks to ITHome, there’s an MSI’s RTX 3070 Ti-powered gaming notebook that has made its way to Geekbench. As per the benchmark, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU scores a pretty healthy 1,244,220 points which is a score of a flagship GPU.
The score actually matches with the previously launched RTX 3080 laptop GPU and if you closely see our benchmark graphs you will notice the scores are comparable to AMD’s strong Radeon RX 6800 with 16GB GDDR6 memory.
While comparing with own RTX 30-series GPUs, the RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU is almost equal to the desktop RTX 3060 Ti, which is one of the best GPUs for its price already. So, next-gen laptops with the new RTX 3070 Ti could give you a desktop RTX 3060 Ti level performance which is undoubtedly a great thing.
If you are unfamiliar with the specs of the upcoming RTX 3070 Ti notebook graphics card, you will be glad to know it uses 5888 CUDA cores with a boost frequency that can reach 1485MHz. Even though it is equipped with 8GB GDDR6 video memory, with lower power consumption in between 80-125W, this is a great option for gamers.
