NVIDIA has fallen victim to a Cyberattack compromising critical elements of its Business

According to The Telegraph, NVIDIA has been targeted by a significant cyberattack that may have utterly ruined elements of its business. According to The Telegraph’s exclusive investigation, the cyberattack began at the same time as Russia’s cyber warfare section launched its onslaught against Ukraine. All of NATO’s members have imposed severe sanctions on Russia, which could explain why Russia has chosen to target major corporations like NVIDIA.

An Nvidia spokesman said: “We are investigating an incident. We don’t have any additional information to share at this time.”

According to the source, NVIDIA’s malware has entirely compromised aspects of their business, and there have already been reports of service disruption from various users. The scope of this attack is currently unknown, but it appears to be significant because NVIDIA had to shut down many computers to stop the incursion from spreading further.

“The ultimate concern is that somebody may have put something in one of the software updates,” Dr Woodward said, pointing to the devastating SolarWinds hack that exploited American software companies to gain access to US government computer systems.

“They’ll be going through trying to make sure to see if there’s any indication that anything has been changed in their software that they then shipped to their clients.”

Because NVIDIA’s mail servers were only partially operating at the time, it’s possible that confidential documents were compromised. However, it is still unknown whether any data was stolen. Another critical concern is that NVIDIA will have to ensure that its services and software are entirely free of viruses or harmful code that might harm end-users.
