NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti: 16GB GDDR7, 350W TBP, GB203-300 GPU Set for 2025 Launch
Before, it was mentioned that the RTX 5070 Ti would pack 8960 cores on one of the GB203 SKUs, and have a TGP design of 300W with a reference board “PG147 SKU 60”. NVIDIA has seemingly made a small adjustment to these specs, though. In fact, the RTX 5070 Ti will have the GB203-300 GPU SKU, the same chip that will be used for the upper-end RTX 5080, although a cut-down version will be deployed for the 5070 Ti.
This is an improvement over previous “Ti” variants, which used different, lower-end chips than their respective non-Ti counterparts. Another major detail is the increased Total Board Power (TBP), which is now at 350W, 50W higher than we speculated. This is a 23% increase compared to the 285W TBP of the respective RTX 4070 Ti and 4070 Ti SUPER. These are TBP figures, of course, and power consumption will vary based on how you use the chip.
Regarding memory, the RTX 5070 Ti is set to feature a 256-bit memory bus with a 16 GB GDDR7 capacity, an upgrade over the original 12 GB in the RTX 4070 Ti, as well as 33% greater bandwidth with 28 Gbps speeds at 896 GB/s overall. Based on some tentative predictions for the upcoming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, we can expect it — along with the other five GPUs in NVIDIA’s RTX 50 “Blackwell” series — to be released in the first half of 2025. The majority of them will launch in Q1, leading up to an incredibly competitive period with AMD and Intel’s new GPUs on the way. The rest for the RTX 50 series will come at CES 2025.
