NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Specs Leak Ahead of CES 2025 Launch

New details have surfaced about NVIDIA‘s fourth Blackwell GPU, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, following previous leaks about the RTX 50 series, which is set to launch at CES 2025. This will sit between the RTX 5070 and RTX 5080, and some early specs from never-miss-lock Kopite7kimi indicate the RTX 5070 Ti will be aimed at high-end gamers.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Rumored with 8960 Cores & 300W TGP, 17% More Cores Than 4070 Ti

The GB203 GPU is a cut-down version of the RTX 5080’s GPU, which will power the RTX 5070 Ti. The same PCB with little changes will be shared. The base specs are anticipated to boast 8,960 cores, a 16.6% jump over the RTX 4070 Ti’s core count of 7,680 and a good six percent more than the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER’s figure of 8,448 cores. Unlike the RTX 4070 Ti which had a sizeable 26% jump in core count over the RTX 3070 Ti, you can see that the RTX 5070 Ti doesn’t exactly move the needle on core counts. Likewise, the RTX 5080 is also expected just a slight bump in cores over the RTX 4080 and 4080 SUPER.

NVIDIA 3 3 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Specs Leak Ahead of CES 2025 Launch

For the RTX 5070 Ti, that number comes in at a very steep-sounding 300W TDP (Thermal Design Power), which is just a smidge higher than the RTX 4070 Ti’s and its comparatively tame 285W but also respects reality in terms of power needs. In fact, the upper models RTX 5080 and 5090 will need more power each than their predecessors.

NVIDIA 2 4 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Specs Leak Ahead of CES 2025 Launch

Regarding VRAM, it’s still unclear whether the RTX 5070 Ti will feature 16 GB of memory with a 256-bit bus or stick to a 12 GB configuration with a 192-bit memory interface. A similar upgrade was seen with the RTX 4070 Ti, which started with 12 GB but later expanded to 16 GB with the SUPER version. The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is expected to launch in 2025, following the initial trio of GPUs, the RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070, with the 5070 Ti likely arriving later in the year.
