There have been many rumors about the upcoming mid-range GPU for quite some time now, and finally, it has been leaked with full glory, thanks to Videocardz. The upcoming NVIDIA Ampere graphics cards will be a great option for those who aren’t looking to spend much yet want to enjoy games with ray tracing.
Previously, the RTX 2060 did not provide healthy gameplay with ray tracing and was not that appreciated by gamers. However, now, with the new GA104-200 GPU, things can eventually change as the RTX 3060 Ti packs some beefier specs like 8GB of GDDR6 14 Gbps memory with 256-bit memory architecture.
The upcoming RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition looks similar to the RTX 3070 Founders Edition, and as the live images leaked by Videocardz show, the new GPU has a small color difference. The 3060 Ti has a silver-tone 12-pin power cable; however, it comes with an adapter.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is said to feature 4864 CUDA cores with 152 Tensor cores and 38 RT cores. This makes the new mid-range GPU faster than the last year’s RTX 2080 SUPER, and much like last year, the RTX 3060 Ti is supposed to cost 399 USD, launching on December 2nd.
As we see in the performance benchmarks in all of the titles, the new RTX 3060 Ti beating the last year’s $699 RTX 2080 Super. Well, on paper the upcoming GPU looks great and a lot of gamers will actually go for this GPU undoubtedly, but can NVIDIA keep up with stocks that will be a question to look out for.
