NVIDIA has recently launched the RTX 3060 desktop GPU as well as the RTX 30-series mobile GPUs at the CES 2021. Now, a lot of gaming laptops will be adopting these new GPUs in the coming months and the first benchmark of this upcoming RTX 30-series GPU is out.

@TUM_APISAK has spotted the RTX 3060 Laptop GPU on OpenCL benchmarks and it is the Gigabyte G5 gaming laptop powered by a Core i7-10870H. The GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU comes with 30 Compute Units along with 6GB VRAM and 1.43 GHz max frequency.

The RTX 3060 laptop GPU scores an impressive 93,263 points, making it faster than a desktop AMD Radeon Pro VII GPU, however, a little bit slower than the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER or an RTX 2080 GPU. This is still huge improvement from last-gen and this should enable comfortable 1440p gaming for a lot of gamers.

Also, not to forget the RTX 3060 powered gaming laptops should be available around $1000-$1200 price point and at that, this new GPU could be a gamechanger.
