Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 with 4GB VRAM appears on Geekbench

Asus’s upcoming TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop will have the RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPU option. And according to several leaks, we know that the GPU will feature 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. But we didn’t confirm other details, such as clock speeds, TGPs, or how many cores the card would have.

But now, we have some benchmark results from Geekbench, and we can satisfy ourselves with the doubts we had about the RTX 3050 series. An anonymous source has benchmarked a Samsung laptop with a GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU.

According to Geekbench data, the RTX 3050 has 4 GB of VRAM, probably GDDR6, and 16 Compute Units (CUs). Sources confirm that each CU contains 128 CUDA cores, yielding 2,048 CUDA cores in total. The listing also describes that the RTX 3050 has a 1.06 GHz boost clock speed.

The OpenCL score puts RTX 3050’s on par with the GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q and the Radeon RX 5600M. The RTX 3050 appears to offer much better performance than NVIDIA’s GTX 1650 series, though, which the RTX 3050 series will probably replace.

According to reports, the PCI ID Repository shows that the RTX 3050 has a GA107M GPU, as does the RTX 3050 Ti. Based on ASUS’ leaked info and Geekbench listings, we should expect to see RTX 3050 series laptop GPUs paired with Intel Tiger Lake-H processors later this year.

Though Nvidia is currently suffering from Supply constraints, many OEMs have finally started adopting the RTX 30 series for their laptops.
