NVIDIA has unveiled significant updates to its GeForce NOW cloud streaming service. The middle tier, formerly known simply as Priority, has been redefined as Performance and features a more realistic visual fidelity. The Performance tier now supports up to 1440p resolution, Ultrawide resolutions, once reserved for the Ultimate tier, while the previous Priority tier only supported a maximum of 1080p resolution. Users can now save graphics settings to the cloud, so they won’t have to reset them with each new session either. Existing Priority members are upgraded to Performance level automatically and can access these new perks right away.

NVIDIA Upgrades GeForce NOW Middle Tier and Introduces 100-Hour Monthly Playtime Limit
But NVIDIA is now implementing a new limit on playtime: both the Performance and Ultimate tiers will be limited to 100 hours of game time per month. However, the company says that 94% of GeForce NOW gamers typically stay within this limit. This is to ensure that lengthy queues and good service can be provided to all users. Members receive the option to keep tabs on their playtime through their account portal, and unused time rolls over – up to 15 hours – into the following month.
If you need more playtime, you can buy an extra 15 hours of gameplay for $2.99 on the Performance tier, or $5.99 on the Ultimate tier. As always, this update won’t affect existing GFN accounts for now. Paid subscribers active on December 31, 2024, can keep accessing unlimited play for as long as their subscription remains paid through January of the year after next.
NVIDIA likewise added several new PC games to the service including Planet Coaster 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, Empire of the Ants, Unrailed 2: Back on Track, TCG Card Shop Simulator, StarCraft II and StarCraft Remastered. The stream also showcased new DLSS 3-supported titles, such as Planet Coaster 2, Empire of the Ants, and the Kristala RPG in Early Access. Silent Hill 2 and DUCKSIDE also receive Frame Generation.
