Nothing, a startup led by Carl Pei, has relaunched the audio device companion app. Nothing X is currently the rebranding of Nothing ear (1). Both Android and iOS devices can see the rebrand, and users can download or upgrade the software from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, accordingly. New features have also been introduced to Nothing.
Nothing X: App details
Only Ear (1) and Ear (2) can use the capabilities in the Nothing X companion app (Stick). After pairing the TWS earphones to the device by pressing and holding the pairing button on the charging case, they are accessible via the Bluetooth settings of the Phone (1). Users must download the app on other smartphones.
Nothing indicates that gesture controls have enhanced the pairing and setup procedure. Only the Ear (1) allows for user customization of the gesture controls and switching between active noise suppression modes.
For low, mid, and high-frequency levels, there is a new Equalizer experience. Each earbud’s and the case’s battery life are also shown in the companion app. Other capabilities include the capacity to obtain firmware upgrades, find my earphones, and in-ear detection.
With the newly renamed Nothing X app, the Nothing Ear (Stick), which made its debut lately, also gets a new low lag option. A better low-latency gaming experience is allegedly provided by it.
The semi-in-ear TWS earphones include an IP54 rating, a cylindrical charging case, and a semi-in-ear design. A 12.6mm driver with Clear Voice technology is included in the audio gadget, which has a battery life of 29 hours.
