### What We Know About Nothing’s 2025 Smartphone Lineup

CEO Carl Pei has already hinted at the arrival of the **Nothing Phone 3** in 2025, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to harnessing the power of AI. Recent discoveries in the IMEI database have unveiled three intriguing model numbers: **A001**, **A059**, and **A059P**.

Based on previous naming conventions, it’s likely that **A059** corresponds to the **Nothing Phone 3a**, while **A059P** is expected to be the **Nothing Phone 3a Plus**. The “P” suffix typically indicates a “Plus” variant, a pattern we’ve seen with the earlier **Phone 2a Plus** (model A142P). This leads us to speculate that “asteroids” refers to the Nothing Phone 3a and “asteroids_plus” to the Nothing Phone 3a Plus.

Additionally, the upcoming **CMF-branded smartphone**, likely the **CMF Phone 2**, is codenamed “galaga” and may carry the model number **A001**. This device has also been spotted on the GSMA database and in the latest Nothing OS build.

### Nothing’s 2025 Smartphone Lineup Overview

| Phone Model | Codename | Model Number |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Nothing Phone 3a | asteroids | A059 |
| Nothing Phone 3a Plus | asteroids_plus | A059P |
| CMF Phone 2 | galaga | A001 |

### What to Expect from the Nothing Phone 3a?

The **Nothing Phone 3a** is shaping up to be a compelling mid-range device, featuring a mix of impressive specifications and some compromises:

#### Camera Capabilities

- **Main Camera**: Equipped with a 26mm focal length, the main camera will support 4K video recording at 60FPS and slow-motion video up to 480FPS at 1080P.
- **Features**: Expect advanced photography modes like Super Macro, Super EIS, and Super Night modes (names may vary).
- **Front Camera**: The front camera will have a 29mm focal length, capable of recording 1080P at 30FPS, which is a slight downgrade from the 60FPS capability of the Phone 2a.
- **Zoom Technology**: While high-resolution RAW photography may not be supported, in-sensor zoom technology promises smoother and clearer results.

#### Performance Insights

The [Nothing](https://technosports.co.in/tag/nothing/) Phone 3a is anticipated to be powered by the **Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset**. Recent benchmarks on Geekbench 6 show promising scores of **1119** for single-core and **3128** for multi-core performance, indicating a significant boost in processing power.

### The CMF Phone 2 and Its Potential

The **CMF Phone 2** is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, marking a notable upgrade from the Dimensity 7200 Pro and Dimensity 7300 used in previous Nothing and CMF models. This transition promises enhanced performance and a more differentiated user experience.

### Expected Launch Timeline

The Nothing Phone 3a series is set to launch with **Android 15** based on the **Nothing OS 3.1** user interface. We anticipate that these new smartphones will be unveiled in the **first quarter of 2025**, generating excitement among tech enthusiasts and loyal Nothing fans alike.
