If you already know about NOTHING then here is the first product that has surfaced just now. NOTHING is a new venture of OnePlus’s co-founder Carl Pei. NOTHING had already teased the image of a part of its product about a few weeks ago. At that time it was only the visible NOTHING branding that we can understand and looked more like an sealed water bottle. But this time the picture is clear in front of us, it is a true wireless earbud that seems to have an transparent design.
As per the source, the TWS earbud was designed by Tom Howard, the company’s head of design who also serves as vice head of design at Nothing’s partner Teenage Engineering. They call it Concept 1 and as per the company it is “a first expression of our design principles, starting with transparency that embodies our commitment to bringing technology closer to people.”
It is hard to believe that this might not be the final product of the company, as a Nothing spokesperson says something like this in an email to The Verge, “While the same designs principles will be followed and there will be similarities to Concept 1, the end product will look different,” and again here is the uncertainty that the company is creating.
On the other hand, NOTHING explains that “Concept 1 takes inspiration from a grandmother’s tobacco pipe.” which also describes the “Weightless, Effortless and Timeless” phrase used during the first teaser. But to be pretty honest we are optimistic that this might be something that we can expect in the upcoming time, “We look forward to showing you how this comes to life through our first products this summer.” says NOTHING.
