Speculation is widespread that Nothing’s upcoming smartphone, the Nothing Phone 2a, is set to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, scheduled for Feb. 27 in Barcelona, Spain. Well ahead of the official launch, Smartprix has released a report disclosing details about the Phone 2a’s display, camera specifications, and wallpapers. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the new information about the device.

The Rumors About Nothing Phone 2a

According to a collaboration between Smartprix and tipster Kamila, the Nothing Phone 2a is anticipated to feature a 6.7-inch display on the front. This display is expected to be an OLED panel sourced from China’s Visionox and BOE, offering an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate.

The leaked details suggest that the Nothing Phone 2a will feature a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KGN9 primary camera, similar to the one found on the Moto G84 5G, accompanied by a Samsung S5KJN1 ultra-wide lens. For selfies, the device is said to be equipped with a Sony IMX615 32-megapixel primary camera. Reports indicate that the dual-camera system will be arranged horizontally within a round camera module.

The leaked wallpapers of the Nothing Phone (2a), including ‘Ruxe,’ ‘Nexul,’ ‘Azunim White,’ ‘Orbique,’ ‘Rubrane Black,’ ‘Ambra,’ and ‘Virmar,’ have also been revealed. The report additionally mentions that there will be four variants of the device, such as PacmanIND (India), PacmanJPN (Japan), PacmanEEA (Europe), and Pacman (global), available in black and white color options.

Other sources suggest that the Nothing Phone (2a) will be powered by the Dimensity 7200 chipset, boasting 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It is anticipated to run on Nothing OS 2.5, based on Android 14, and feature a redesigned 3-part Glyph interface on the back. The global market price is expected to be around $400, according to additional reports.
