More About the Nothing Phone 2a Plus

The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is likely going to be tasked with improving the performance of the ‘entry-level’ Nothing Phone 2a. This device has already been spotted on both TDRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) as well as BIS certification listings just two weeks ago.

The official company handle posted the news on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that Nothing will launch the Nothing Phone 2a Plus – in August this year. This announcement included a cryptic image of a black surface with grooves but no further specifications. However, the Nothing India account on X also shared that post but conveniently left out the launch date – making it clear that while they might be released in India, their exact arrival dates are likely to differ.

The smartphone has already been teased by the company. The company’s social media profiles had posted an image of Pokémon, Mega Aerodactyl just before it launched a new phone earlier this week. This was soon followed by another cryptic post as well, hinting towards the possibility of a Nothing Phone 2a Plus, with an additional plus (+) icon.

The manner also lists the A142P model call as nothing Phone 2a Plus, and that in conjunction with tipster YouTuber Mukul Sharma became spotted at TDRA and BIS certification. Curiously, when asked if it was the community edition phone in a comment on the announcement post, Nothing wrote “nope,” before later deleting that answer.
