NorthEast United FC has officially announced the signing of Australian striker Tomi Juric on a free transfer on 22nd January, Monday for the remainder of the ISL season. The 32-year-old, has been without a club since the beginning of the season. Juric, a seasoned player with 41 caps for the Socceroos, boasts an impressive resume, having been part of the Asian Cup-winning squad in 2015 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Hailing from New South Wales, Juric initiated his career with Sydney United but ventured to Croatia at 19 to commence his professional path. After a three-year stint there, he returned to Australia, playing for Adelaide United and Western Sydney Wanderers.
With successful stints across Europe and Asia, including notable achievements with Western Sydney Wanderers, where he secured the AFC Champions League, FC Luzern in 2016, where he made 74 appearances and scored 21 goals over three years, Roda JC, and more recently, Melbourne Victory, Juric brings a wealth of experience to the Highlanders.
As an Australian international since 2013, Juric boasts 41 caps and eight goals. He secured the AFC Asian Cup in 2015 under the current Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglu.
