Chelsea have agreed a €35 million fee for the transfer of Noni Madueke from PSV Eindhoven. The West London side are showing no signs of slowing down in the January transfer window – having spent the most amount of money on players in the entire Premier League.
They have signed David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, Benoit Badiashile, Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk in the January transfer window alone. And now, Madueke is set to join their ranks as well.
Noni Madueke to join Chelsea in the coming days
The former Tottenham and Crystal Palace academy player is returning to London. But now, he will represent the Blue side of the city. And he is expected to sign a long-term contract like the other arrivals at Chelsea under Todd Boehly’s new transfer strategy.
Medical tests are being prepared very soon for the 20-year-old to complete and be officially presented as a new signing for the club. The contracts will be signed in the coming days, and a confirmation can be expected thereafter.
The winger has earned a reputation for his pace, acceleration and his dribbling skills. And that is something that Chelsea have lacked up front in recent years, with their wingers failing to put up consistent performances.
The expectation now is for Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke to man the flanks and produce from wide positions. With such a young set of recruits for the team, it will be interesting to see how things play out for them in the coming years.
