Nokia has recently launched its new budget-oriented C-series smartphone, the Nokia C02. This smartphone comes with a 5.45-inch display that has a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device has thick bezels across the screen, which makes it look a bit old-fashioned. The device is available in two colours, Dark Cyan, and Charcoal.
Nokia C02 Specifications
Under the hood, the Nokia C02 is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Unisoc processor, which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device also has microSD card support, which allows users to expand the storage up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on Android 12 Go Edition out of the box, and Nokia is offering two years of security updates for the handset.
In terms of imaging, it features a 5MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash with 2MP front camera. The camera setup of the device is not very impressive, but it’s reasonable for the price point.
The Nokia C02 is equipped with a 3,000mAh battery, which supports 5W charging. The battery life of the device should be decent, given its specifications. The smartphone also has an IP52 rating, which means it is dust and water-resistant to some extent.
Connectivity-wise, the Nokia C02 offers dual-SIM card support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and a micro USB port. The device also has a 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio support, which is a plus for people who still listen to the radio.
The Nokia C02 measures 148.7x 71.2x 10mm and weighs 191 grams, which is not very light, but it’s understandable considering its 3,000mAh battery. The design of the device is boxy and retains the same design as that of the Nokia C01 Plus, which was launched in 2021.
As of now, Nokia has not revealed the pricing and availability of the Nokia C02. However, given its specifications, we can expect it to be priced competitively in the budget smartphone segment. Overall, the Nokia C02 is a decent smartphone for people who are looking for a basic device without spending too much money.
