AC Milan are having a very impressive transfer window so far, having now signed Noah Okafor from RB Salzburg. The two sides have reached an agreement over a fee worth €13-14 million for the player, who will be landing in the city to finalise the transfer in the coming days.
Head coach Stefano Pioli asked for him last year after their Champions League clash against Salzburg, and he has now become the latest addition to the squad for the summer. The Rossoneri have already wrapped up deals for Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders. And now, they are strengthening their line-up further with the exciting young forward.
Noah Okafor to sign for AC Milan with long-term contract agreed
The 23-year-old centre-forward will be filling a major gap in the squad. Although Olivier Giroud and Divorce Origi are available as the strikers in the squad, Noah Okafor can be an option for years to come.
He only had one year remaining on his contract with Salzburg, which prompted the club to sell him. This past season, he made 32 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists.
The move to the Serie A will no doubt be a step up for the Swiss international. But, he seems well-equipped to be the first-choice striker at the club under Pioli’s guidance.
The Rossoneri are also expected to sign Samuel Chukwueze and Yunus Musah after completing the signing of Okafor, with deals progressing swiftly for both players.
