Nissan India has introduced the Kuro Edition for its Magnite sub-4m SUV, which is based on the XV trim level of the Magnite, positioned just below the top-of-the-line XV Premium variant. While Nissan has disclosed the additional features that the Kuro Edition brings, they have not yet revealed the pricing details. Bookings for the Magnite Kuro Edition have officially opened as of September 14th.
All You Need to Know about the Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition
The Magnite Kuro Edition gives respect to Nissan’s long-standing official partnership with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which is now in its eighth year. In honor of this partnership, Nissan has produced the Kuro Edition, which has upgrades based on the XV trim. Customers who pre-book the Magnite Kuro Edition can anticipate deliveries around the festive season, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
The term “Kuro” is taken from the Japanese word for “Black,” and Nissan is going all-black both inside and out. The Magnite has a sporty and stylish look as a result of this design choice. Notably, the Kuro Edition will be even blacker than the existing Onyx Black version, featuring a black grille, skid plate, roof rails, black alloy wheels, headlamps with black accents, and a unique Kuro Edition badge. Inside the cabin, the Kuro Edition incorporates numerous glossy black elements on the door panels, instrument panels, and more.
While the Onyx Black variant is already a striking black sub-4m SUV, the Kuro Edition takes the “murdered-out” effect to a new level. This all-black appearance adds to the vehicle’s aggressive attitude, offering it a feeling of stealth and refinement, which is consistent with the current trend. While Nissan’s promotional material depicts the Magnite Kuro Edition with LED headlights, it’s important to note that only the XV Premium and XV Premium (O) trims come equipped with LED headlights. Whether the Kuro Edition includes halogen or LED headlights remains uncertain.
In terms of features, the Kuro Edition, based on the XV trim, inherits certain features from the higher XV Premium and XV Premium (O) trims. These include a fixed front armrest housing rear AC vents, wireless phone charging, and a 360-degree camera with an Around View Monitor (AVM). In addition, Nissan is offering a broader inside rearview mirror (IRVM) and Kuro Edition-themed floor mats. The Magnite Kuro Edition is available in XV MT, Turbo XV MT, and Turbo XV CVT variants. Nissan has yet to provide the pictures of the car, pricing and more information.
