Tata Motors may lead this market with its Punch and Nexon models back now, but the Renault-Nissan alliance has designs on taking on these vehicles with the Kiger and Magnite. While October 2024 is some time away, Nissan will be showcasing the facelifted Magnite on October 4th and has revealed a teaser of its interiors.
The All New Nissan Magnite Facelift
The Nissan Magnite has the unenviable task of competing in a crowded sub-4m SUV market, and it is currently getting 11th on the sales chart with 2,527 units sold in August 2024. The firm is banking on the new facelift to break its dry spell, especially during this festive season. The Magnite facelift’s updated cabin has been showcased in some teasers.
Interior colors from the new teaser have reverted to a less radical orange or tan hue on the dashboard and door firmly instead of the bright red highlights first shown with the Magnite SUV concept four years ago. The seats come in a lighter dual-tone finish that works well with the black bits and there is also some contrast stitching on the steering wheel.
The interior layout shows a similar pattern as the current model, with new grain patterns for the door panel grab handles. UP front, the fa dashboard and door panels look to feature contrast-stitching lending a bit of an upmarket air, augmented by ambient lighting in the cabin. Joining the all-black steering wheel, the center console.
Expectations for the facelift include new front and rear bumpers, a larger grille, and likely updates to the alloy wheel design and LED projector headlights with fog lights. Features such as automatic climate control, rear AC vents, front and rear armrests, passive keyless entry, push-button start, a large infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a TFT instrument cluster are expected to carry over.
New additions could include front-ventilated seats, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a 360-degree camera. Powertrain options are anticipated to remain unchanged, featuring a 1.0L 3-cylinder engine available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions, paired with 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox options.
