Nissan has launched the Magnite facelift in India after a series of teasers, which is the first update to its sub-4m SUV since it was first introduced in 2020. The new model also brings with it a left-hand drive (LHD) version for export.
Being a car that was developed with a close look at the price card, it is not surprising to see an attractive starting price of ₹5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) from the pre-facelift model retained on this new Magnite. With a striking Sunrise Copper Orange launch color, the vehicle’s visual appeal gained the upper hand, solidifying its place in the competitive sub-4m SUV segment ahead of the festive season.
The All New Nissan Magnite Facelift
Nissan has retained the Magnite’s stylish, boxy looks and upright silhouette, offering more than 200 mm of ground clearance for a commanding position in design. Up front, we notice the new grille appears to have been tweaked slightly towards a bolder look with gloss black accents and a restyled bumper that looks about the same but now features a larger silver piece mimicking a bull bar. On the safety front, the SUV gets LED headlights along with fog lights and turn indicators.
The side view is virtually identical, and its muscular rear quarter panels are not disappointing in person. It features a new dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels. On the outside, chunky body cladding gives it a rugged look while at the rear, it looks more of the same but gets a new bumper and smoky black effect on its new M-shaped LED taillights.
The Magnite facelift also gets a new Sunrise Copper Orange interior theme, featuring hexagonal patterns inside. While the overall dashboard layout carries over, the interior gets Lamborghini-inspired AC vents and a blackened steering wheel.
Features carried over from the pre-facelift include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, push-button start, and a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster. New additions include automatic headlights, an auto-dimming IRVM, remote start with AC activation, a 360-degree surround view camera, and six airbags standard across all variants.
Powertrain options consist of a 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol engine, offering both naturally aspirated and turbo variants. The NA variant delivers 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, paired with a 5MT or 5AMT. The turbo version produces 99 bhp and 160 Nm, available with a 5MT or CVT gearbox.
