Punjab FC have signed Ninthoi Meetei from Chennaiyin FC, with the 22-year-old joining on a free transfer. The youngster made 19 appearances in the ISL this past season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Although the stats aren’t the best, his dribbling and pace have been quite impressive and could be instrumental in helping the Shers in the forthcoming season.

The winger was linked with a move to East Bengal as well, however, the club never really had him on their shortlist. Punjab FC have now made the first move and have secured their man to help strengthen their wide position.
Punjab have signed Princeton Rebello from Odisha FC on a two-year deal, goalkeeper Muheet Khan from Real Kashmir and Vinit Rai from Mumbai City FC to bolster their squad ahead of the coming season.
Recently, rumours have suggested that their star player Madih Talal could be on the move, with a transfer to East Bengal possible. If it goes through, the club would need a solid replacement option to maintain their attacking output.
Chennaiyin, on the other hand, have already signed a replacement for Ninthoi Meetei, picking out Gurkirat Singh from Mumbai City FC to add a wide talent to their side.
