Nintendo Switch’s global sales reach up to a whopping 79.87 million units

As per ITHome, Nintendo has recently released its latest financial report for the quarter. So according to the data, it shows that the total sales of Nintendo Switch since its release are close to a whopping 80 million units.

The total number of Switch sales reached up to 79.87 million units, surpassing the record of 3DS, that had a total sales of 75.94 million units. Thanks to the pandemic, gaming has become a major form of entertainment, and people have embraced it well.

Nintendo Switch is very popular among children and fans worldwide, helping to make the console one of the best-selling ones for Nintendo ever. Not only consoles but also in terms of game sales, this quarter was a huge one Nintendo, selling nearly 76 million games.

“Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition” and “Assemble!” “Friends of the Animal Crossing” both surpass a whopping 30 million mark for the first time, while the sales of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” and “Pokémon: Sword/Shield” both now exceeds 20 million.

As ITHome reports, Nintendo had raised the Switch sales forecast for this fiscal year to 24 million units from 19 million units three months ago. They also revealed that due to the pandemic, the demand has been very high and challenging to meet.
