Nintendo Switch 2 new leak shows support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction support

The technical details of the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 may be clarified by a recent rumor. Nearly seven years have passed since the release of the original Switch console, and there are rumors that Nintendo will upgrade to a new system as early as 2024. Even while Nintendo hasn’t made any sort of official statement about this potential Nintendo Switch 2, there are now enough rumors and leaks for many fans to view it as inevitable.

The potential graphical power of this upcoming Nintendo console is one of the subjects that is frequently brought up in these rumors and discussions because the Switch has historically lagged behind its contemporaries in terms of technical capabilities despite being one of the most popular systems of all time. During Gamescom 2023 earlier this year, a select number of developers had access to a prototype of the so-called Nintendo Switch 2. They asserted that the system showed graphics on pace with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X thanks to the strength of NVIDIA’s DLSS upscaling technology.

A recent Nintendo Switch 2 rumor from Nate the Hate, a dependable YouTube leaker who has previously covered Nintendo news, is now partially corroborating this assertion. Nate the Hate asserted that the new Switch system will support NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 AI-powered Ray Reconstruction for enhanced ray tracing on par with the PS5 and Xbox Series X hardware in his most recent video. The degree of detail made possible by this technology will vary from game to game, but Ray Reconstruction can be upgraded via online patches, guaranteeing that the ray tracing on the Nintendo Switch 2 will get better over time.

Nate the Hate claims that NVIDIA DLSS’s Frame Generation, which can be used to increase framerates by inserting new frames between two existent ones at the expense of image quality, won’t be supported by the upcoming Nintendo console. However, according to the insider, Nintendo is committed to protecting its newest console from the future with the aid of NVIDIA and its Ray Reconstruction technology, which was recently employed to great effect in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC.
